NBSC bags 2022 Sandugo award from DOH
Manolo Fortich Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) was one of the recipients of the Sandugo Award 2022 given by the Department of Health (DOH) – Center for Health Development, Northern Mindanao on November 28, 2022.
The NBSC Health and Sanitation Officer, Mr. Karl Clyde Stephen C. Acosta, RN, attended the Regional Sandugo Recognition and Awarding Ceremony held at the Grand Caprice Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. Three other state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the region were acknowledged with NBSC as the sole institution to receive a plaque of recognition.
Bloodletting events were successfully held twice this year by the NBSC Health and Sanitation Office, once in March and once in September. 24 bags in total were collected during the blood drive in March, and 39 bags were donated in September.
The Sandugo Award is a recognition given to outstanding local government units, government institutions, private organizations and individuals for their unwavering support and contribution in the promotion of voluntary blood donation.
